O.N.E. - Already?!

We're in shock too! But not so much shock that we neglected to throw Holland a big bash in celebration...

Happy Birthday to our Baby Bliss! We love you so much.

The invitation was fun to create...in my mind...and then Lara, my amazingly talented sister-in-law, created the real deal.

The first insert told the guests we would be making a time capsule for Holland to open on her 18th birthday. This allowed for even those who were unable to attend to contribute something - including Elder Dexter Eppley, currently serving an LDS Mission in New York - plus, this was the perfect opportunity to give a meaningful gift...before Holland realizes the utter joy of toys with cartoon figures on them. Ugh!

The second insert let everyone know there would be a photographer at the party to take pictures of them and their family. My amazing friend and photographer, Kate Turley, did mini photo sessions of each family. Now we have pictures for the time capsule, Holland's scrapbook...and of course, this blog!

We are so grateful to everyone that came to help us celebrate and thank each of you for the significant roles you have already played in Holland's life - we hope you will continue to do so!

Holland's One-Year Photoshoot

We did Holland's one-year pictures about a week ago. We didn’t realize until the next day that Holland had the flu. I just thought that maybe she was teething…I was so wrong. She was such a good sport to still smile here and there for the camera (aka the amazing Kathryn Turley!)

And the pics that didn’t make the cut…but I just had to add.

See the yellow? That's a HUGE balloon! Ya, I bought with some very cute photo-ops in mind. It was so windy that none of the balloons really looked how they should, but the yellow balloon? It died a tragic death before we even used it. So much for my cute idea.

Thanks to Auntie Tina for the cute, cute sundress worn in most of the pictures!

Easter: 2011 vs. 2012

What I remember about Easter 2011: being so uncomfortable I jumped on the trampoline to try inducing labor.

And now, a year later!

Easter 2012: still jumped on the tramp, but Holland was in my arms instead of my belly.

Holland’s Easter Basket was filled with a bucket, shovel and rake, a little board book about Noah, some bunny ears, and a tiny Easter rubber ducky. She actually found the rubber ducky a few days before Easter and was attached to it immediately. Hmmm…good thing the Easter Bunny snatched it and put it in the basket for her to finally find again Easter Morning.

After church and a nap we snapped a few pics of Holland in her Easter dress - size 9 months - which was still a little big on her, but so so cute!

We went to my parents house in Salem for a yummy ham dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt with the cousins.

Holland LOVED playing on the tramp with her cousin Jaxon!
