Thanks to Sydnie Jean and Kira

Thanks to My niece, Sydnie Jean, and her roommate, Kira, we had a great weekend!

Saturday the girls helped me start a revamp of our master bedroom(see a sneak peak of some of the bedding below) and helped me narrow down my curtain options for the living room. And that night they stayed home with Holland so Tyler and I could go to dinner with several couples from our neighborhood. Tagg tagged along and was pretty well-behaved. It was so nice to be among adults...and not worried at all about Holland because we knew she was being well taken care of.

Sunday I went to Church!! Hallelujah. The girls were so nice to stay home with Tagg so I could go. It felt great. We'll probably start taking Taggart next month, but so many people have been sick that we've just been keeping him home away from all the sickies. The flu is hitting everyone it seems. Yikes!

Holland loved having Sydnie and Kira here for the weekend! She got a lot of attention and kept everyone laughing with her new obsession with "I need..." Fill in the blank with whatever it is she wants at the moment. And if ever she receives a "no," she is seriously quick to change to a sweet wide-eyed inquisitive expression and say "How 'bout..." Its hysterical! She is quite the negotiator! Personally, I cannot get enough of her ever-increasing vocabulary and cute, little face!!

Christmas Pajamas

Holland LOVES her Christmas pajamas and gets excited every time she gets to wear them. Sometimes she sees them in the dirty clothes hamper, pulls them out and asks to wear them. Uh...nope! They're dirty!!

But the thing she loves even more than these P.J.'s is when both she and Taggart are wearing their Christmas pajamas at the same time!

Taggart in a Tonka Truck

Turns out Taggart fits perfectly in a Tonka truck at seven weeks and four days old. So we took some pics.

Turns out Holland really wanted her picture taken in the Tonka truck too. She's the one who was using it for "babies" in the first place anyway. Why? Oh, just to give her dolls a fun little ride around the house. Apparently the doll stroller and the little shopping cart weren't cutting it anymore.

This picture has been cracking us up! Totally looks like she's breast-feeding her doll, which would make sense since she's been seeing me nurse Taggart lately. But what is she really doing? Just putting her hand in the neck of her shirt. It's a little habit of hers that we need to break.

Baby It's Cold Outside

The cold does not phase this girl. Seriously. Is she my child? I'm a pansy. She is not! She would play outside all day if we would let her.

She loves her slide...no matter the weather!

It's The Little Things

And this little thing makes me smile so much! Everyday. All of the time.

She loves to ask, "Where Holland?"

And then she will declare, "Oh, there she is."

I seriously don't even mind poopy diapers, because I know I get to have these little moments in the process.

P.S. That little number 7 is from the clock she got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Eppley. She is obsessed with the clock, but even more obsessed with the numbers.

Holland's Day

What did Holland do today? Just a little bit of this and a little bit of that...

First: She played in the snow with her "brush teef" (toothbrush) and her "doll-baby."

Second: She swept up a few leaves on the patio.

Third: After a bath to get warm, she jumped in the laundry basket and Tyler and I slid her back and forth across the kitchen floor while she screamed "Weeeee!"

Fourth: She created a masterpiece!

Holland's got a pretty good life!!!

A Little Jealousy

Holland loves her new brother, but when she wakes up from her naps she prefers to have me to herself. This afternoon she had to share - and, well, she was not happy about it! There was a little screaming, trying to push him off my lap and a lot of tears. It breaks my heart and makes me laugh...
